potty humor…

normally, when i’m getting ready to photograph a seven year old boy i’d make sure i was up on the latest potty humor.  there was no potty humor needed with this young man.  you see, we talked politics (being the president is a tough job).  we talked fashion (should he wear the plaid shirt or the green shirt).  we talked architecture (that window with glass blocks is pretty cool).  we talked nutrition (m&m’s are better than skittles).  we talked the arts (he sings a mean rendition of “i’m singing in the rain”).  his mom informed me that he was referring to our time together as our “date”.  oh, melt my heart!  well, he was a perfect gentlemen on our first “date”.

down on the farm…

sweet tea. fresh baked cookies. wonderful hostesses. wheat fields. big red barn. farmhouse studio. beautiful models (and some surprise four-legged ones too).  could a photography workshop get any better than that?  if you are a photographer and ever have the opportunity to attend a workshop with jennifer www.thecottonwife.com or sharon www.sharonelizabethphotography.com  i highly recommend it.  just don’t be surprised if you never want to leave.

fun…

when i met this beautiful family at our session i knew within minutes that it was going to be a fun session.  you see, mom had taken the time to choose such beautiful outfits for the kids and within 3 minutes of them hopping out of the car they were giggling and rolling on the ground having a ball.   i love when a family can really be themselves and i can capture that in the images.
